Sorry to hear little Murphy is having it so bad, my Abbie along with most Westies are proin to allergies as you probebly already know. I have changed my food 2wice and her shampoo to an aloe and oatmeal and to cocounut and nothing seems to help(with the Westie being white and gets dirty easy you might be compelled to wash him more then you should BUT don;t it drys his skin and could make him scratch more also). I could pay 700$ to get her checked for what she is allergic to but my husband says no way. Talk to your vet and he should have an allergy dog food in his shop and it is costly but it might help and just brush brush your Murphy to keep his skin from drying out( I changed my brush from a dog brush to a people brush)Hope something I said helps him out some..
