Posted by Town The 2nd Division, Really exciting with this being a 6 horse race for 2 places. Anybody could do it but it seems it is going to come down to Bay Rovers, Castletown and Lyre with the best chances. Lyre have games in hand but still have to win all them to have a chance, Bay Rovers and Castletown have to keep winning and I think Mizen, Old Chapel and Lissarda will slip away with them only worrying about Lyre then. Must say though that Lissarda really have come on leaps and bounds and were in the playoff last season and missed out against Durrus. They really have come good in the last 2 seasons compared to a few seasons ago. Just one other thing the Under 18s well the playoffs are on at the moment with one round after being played with both games drawn so far, so anyone can win this. Hope you enjoyed my round up. --Previous Message--

All 3 divisions are exciting at the moment with the Premier at the moment a 3 horse race with Crossmahon slipping into pole position but they do have 2 games extra played than 2nd Placed Drinagh and 1 more than Dunmanway.A big game this weekend between Town and Drinagh as If Town lose they might as well just concentrate on holding on to the beamish cup but not a bad season back up to the premier. Drinagh and Dunmanway might take points off each other as they play each other again and this could let Crossmahon slip in there and win the league. It looks like Sullane along with Timoleague that are going down unless Sullane pulled off the unbelievable and beat Ilen and Ballydehob and Ilen lost their game against Sullane it could go to a playoff between Sullane and Ilen to see who goes down. Really its up to Sullane now beat Ilen and Ballydehob and ye might still have a slim chance.
The 1st Division, well Bantry Gunners are promoted now but still need something out of their remaining games to go up to the Premier as Champions. Durrus waiting in the wings, well they are looking like they have 2nd place wrapped up and this is only as a result of Kilmichael and Ardfield messing up a couple of games ago you would have put money on Durrus not going up as Kilmichael looked favourites and with Ardfield's games in hand they looked to be in with a chance but both messed up and Durrus look like they have it. The bottom, well nobody certain of going down yet with Castlelack, Clonakilty, Riverside and Caheragh watching relegation closely. Castlelack have it all to do with games against Ardfield and fellow strugglers Clonakilty to play and Clonakilty have a real relegation run in with Castlelack and riverside to play, Riverside have 3 games left and should stay up and Caheragh seem to have done enough to stay up also with a great victory last Sunday against Ardfield.
: if gurrane dont win down in bantry in their
: next league game durrus will be as good as
: up-successive promotions is a great
: achievement and fair play to all
: involved-just lucky that the gurrane boys
: were so bad in october and november-6 league
: games without a win which is costing them
: dear now in their late burst up the table
