Posted by West Cork League The messages that were being posted were being offensive to people, teams, Individuals that run teams, etc. It would have taken too much time to go through every message and read them for me, so after I posted the poll on the web site asking should I ban the main offenders it was plain to be seen after the results on that. People were fed up of it and many people have gone to the trouble of e-mailing me, ringing, and speaking to me about it and asked me if it was possible to change it so as you would have to register to post a message. This is now a paid service so it is costing the WCL money to run this as before the way it was free but that ran out. So basically I changed it. If you now want to post a message you now have to drop me a e-mail to johnbuckley@westcorkleague.com so i can give you a password. You can pick the username and password and the Username that you pick will be how you will be recognised so pick a good one. Just one other comment that I would like to make wouldn't it better for everybody if people posted comments about messages about games and players and more positive things rather than all the nasty comments that was happening in the past. So drop me a e-mail with the following details. Full Name Address Club (If any) Contact numbers Username (You choose) Password (You choose) And send that information on to me and all this information is confidential and will never be passed on to anybody or will you identity be given to anybody. I have also included a poll to ask you Is this the correct decision in changing the Mesage Board to registered users only John Buckley Update 28-1-04 Just some updates comments that have been e-mailed to me so far 6 people have registered in 1st day and gave positive feedback and 1 person a bit negative but still wants to register but did not yet supply me the username & password and another must send in their username & password. Excellent idea I fully agree with the poll.There were plenty of players and The negative was I know its to stop some of the childish comments coming from the bantry direction but i believe that having this pass word etc will stop more people from using it.. Sorry everybody but I have had to change the lay out of this message board as the messages that were being posted were going too far and not related to soccer at all.
hopefuly this will make it good again.
personally. I found some of the stuff pure trash.
students posting messages from one comp and then replying from another just
to stir things up.
