World Cup Competition ================= Clonakilty AFC are pleased to announce the launch of their WORLD CUP 2006 COMPETITION. Enter to win a magnificent prize of a trip for two to the Republic Of Ireland's European Championship Qualifier against Germany, currently scheduled for Stuttgart in September 2006. About Clonakilty AFC ================ Clonakilty A.F.C. currently has around 300 playing members ranging from the age groups of under 6 years old to adults. At youth level, the club aims to encourage and place the emphasis on skill development, fun and participation before winning. The club recently introduced the Club motto of 'Fida Contentio Ante Gloriam', which translates 'Fair Play Before Glory'. Clonakilty AFC is a community club that tries to bring the game to as many people as possible, making every effort to facilitate all age groups.The establishment of an indoor over-35's and under-18's 5-a-side league are some of the initiatives being taken to promote the sport and encourage activity amongst the younger and the more mature population of the surrounding areas.
