You are probably correct Darren. I normally have a final look at West site before closing my browser. I then get the pop up. Today I tested it. Open West Site then immediately closed browser and got no pop up. So obviously I must be picking it up from another site and it waits until I close the browser before surfacing. However I am sure you would agree that it is best to ignore these pop ups if you do get them.
: Does any other people suffer popups
: after visiting West Auckland Web, if
: so please let me know. I view WAW
: from a number of computers from
: different locations and have so far
: not had any popups. I dont use
: companies for webspace or other
: functions of WAW who would use a pop
: up to my knowledge

: Some of you may like me have seen
: the
: pop under which arrive when you have
: left west aukland web. Up to now
: according to this pop under I have
: won a trip to florida, 25000 pounds
: another cruise etc some how I always
: win but then probably so does anyone
: else. It tell you to ring a free
: number. As nothing comes for
: nothing this is probably a scam. It
: could also put a virus or dial bug
: on your PC. Be very wary of ringing
: what purports to be a free number it
: is so easy to chat to you then
: switch the call to a high rate one
: say £5 - £50 per minute. Or get you
: to send your personal details such
: as bank account etc.
:
: For web master I feel this should be
: investigated very quickly. Everyone
: hates pop ups and pop unders but
: this was I feel is also dodgy. If
: you know who is doing please tell
: them in future that the moment I win
: £25000 to send it to charity.
