But is this not the problem with the North East. Although I love living here people do see to live in the past thinking about the good old of the pits and back to back houses. It holds the whole region back. When I started in business my self 22 years ago I could see the knowing looks (here comes next years millionaire) there was very little encouragement even from my family. The attitude was working class people should do normal jobs and not get above themselves. Well I did succeed. I am not a millionaire (lol) unfortuntately but I did alright. Retired in 1997 at the age of 57 and now watch the grass grow and pray for broadband. We need to have the attitude that they have down south where if you say you are going to do something encouragement is given and support from families. I could go on for hours about this and am sure that those of you with half a brain will know exactly what I mean. The good thing about this of course is that it is the perfect place to retire on a reasonably amount of cash and a couple of pensions
