Hi.
I'm trying to trace my ancestry of joseph and Mary Ann Franks..Joseph was born about 1825 in Highington ,His wife Born west Auckland about 1830. Joseph was a tailor and i think that he may have been jewish.. There used to be a small Ashkenazi jewish community..The synagogue was closed down in 1952 ..If any one one has any photo's of the Franks family head stones in the jewish section of a cemetery or has access to records of the synagogue or any kind of info whatsoever I will be so happy if you will email me rearding this.
