I posted this over at Wiener Writings and have gotten many replies from the wonderful dachsie owners who post there, but I also wanted to make sure that I got this message to the DC crowd who knew Wolfie back when we were really active with DC so I'm also posting here.
I don't know how many folks here remember Wolfie from the Louisville Bow-wow back in the mid-90s, but he went to Rainbow Bridge this Monday morning. He was 16-1/2 and his kidneys were shutting down. We have a great vet and we all knew this time would come.
He was a real sweetheart (plus holder of the Louisville Bow-wow loudest barker award--a title he probably could have defended well even this year). I'm attaching the photo of him at the Bow-wow in his Texas Chili Dog costume and a shot of him performing his duty as "Office Dachshund". He will be missed.
