Posted by Krista of the L and of the C on August 18, 2007, 1:40 pm, in reply to "CONGRATULATIONS!!!!" We are planning on getting married next year (did I mention that in my other post? Can't remember) in October. We don't have a date yet because we are trying to do it over fall break and they haven't announced exactly when that is. The wedding is going to be bigger just by virtue of the Sean's family size...it's quite large (Irish Catholic, go figure). I think maybe 130 - 140. Outside wedding here in the mountains is what we are planning with one of Sean's friends officiating since we are not religious. We are also planning on a not too serious/formal event...no tuxes for the guys and no ties required. My only attire rule is no square dancing attire, as one of my friends already suggested as a general theme (he thinks he's funny!). As for the proposal, Sean asked me while we were sitting together in the Boiling River in Yellowstone National Park early, early, early in the morning. I think I'll always remember that morning very fondly...it was just the two of us and no one else (unusual because it is a popular spot) and after he proposed and I said yes, a moose walked right by us, no more than 25 feet away. That was pretty awesome, especially since we were in an area not known for moose. So I'm a happy girl! Emily is helping with the planning. She loves that sort of stuff and I hate it. I mean, I like the fun things but some of it is just such a headache. Luckily for me, she loves that stuff and is on top of it. Watch out 2008, here we come!
