I've had dachsies all of my life..all smooth coats. I now have 2 litter-mates, 1 smooth coat and 1 longhair. The longhair is much more docile, less mischievious, stubborn..not the normal dachshund personality. Is this normal or is it because her "sister" is such a wild woman? Changing the subject, if you haven't seen the book Picasso and Lump: A Dachshund's Odyssey, go straight to Amazon and order a copy!
