I have a 8 year old female mini. I just purchased for her ANOTHER stuffed toy from Pet Supermarket. She has turned into a different dog. She snarls at me, won't sleep in the bed with me, won't eat, will go outside and still greets me happily when I arrive home from work. She will not play with her kong anymore which is her favorite toy...won't play at all...I realize the mother instinct, but here's my question: What do I do? I want my loving, playful girl back, but don't want to hurt her feelings by just taking it from her! I have started laying down on her bed with her to let her know that I am not going to hurt her "baby" thinking maybe if I get her to realize that I am not a threat that she will at least leave baby long enough to get a bit of exercise which she really needs b/c she was paralyzed and without exercise she limps, etc. Please help....
