Posted by christine no one handles him but me. he gets his back scrubbed and he manages to tear up the tank by rearranging everything that is not anchored down. never thought i would love him that much as a pet. he was supposed to be my son's but as kids go, usually the mom's do the work and take the pet. when the kids leave the pets stay. his name is tyler and he is a snapper. you don't want that jaw around your finger. it hurts. mistakenly, years ago, i found out.

i have had my turtle for almost 13 years. he's a friendly and entertaining little guy. actually, he is the entertainment in my small shop. as i am waiting on customers, they love to watch him swim and come to the side of the tank. i have him in a 30 gallon tank with the water almost filled to the top. he's a diver and that is the reason i had to give him a bigger tank. he still could use a larger one.
