hey justin,
ive never had a snapping turtle but i have learned about them. Snapping turtles usually eat fish that think their tongue is a worm. So try to put fish in there no bigger than he or she can swallow. Have the water just to where it can reach the surface lifting its head. Have a dry land so he bask in the sun. if he cant catch the fish try holding one by the fin and put its head into the mouth enough so he can at least bite off the head.
