Found Turtle - water turtel of somekind

A water turtle was found at my job. Co workers know I have a Russian at home so they ask if I could take care of it. I brought him home to take care of him till I find a new home. Since I'm not sure what kind of water turtle I have no idea what it eats & it hasn't eaten any of the food I have given him/her. I think it's a Western Pond. I was hoping if I took a picture someone could help me "ID" what type of water turtle it was.
