water turtle/red eyed turtles

Ok, i got 2 baby turtles for my birthday. right now i got them in a little tank with a filter and feed them the little turtle food pelettes that i got from the pet store. but i don't know what kind they are...if they need a uv light or any other supplies/food...i THINK i got one female and one male cause the bigger one is always mounting the smaller one. and if that's the case, where do they lay eggs (i've heard the sand--do i need to get a bigger tank and have a sand pit, just in case they do have eggs). or can anyone tell me what kind of turtle they are so that i can read more about them...for pictures of them to identify them, you can go to tugas247.yafro.com to check them out. thanks Rosalyn
