Pretzel Crust layer:
* 2 1/2 cups pretzels, crushed
* 1/4 cup brown sugar
* 10 tbsp unsalted butter, melted
Cream-cheese layer:
* 1, 8 oz. package cream cheese, softened
* 3/4 cup sugar
* 8 oz. cool whip, thawed
Jello layer:
* 1, 6 oz. box instant strawberry jello
* 2 cups boiling water
Strawberry layer:
* 1 lb. of fresh strawberries, 16 oz, slice
* Optional whip cream
Instructions:
1. Preheat oven to 350° F for crust. Place a layer of parchment paper at the bottom of a 9x13 deep dish. Lightly grease bottom only.
2. Crush pretzels in a blender. Pour crushed pretzel in a bowl, add brown sugar and melted butter, combine. Place crushed pretzels in the baking dish and press down evenly. Bake for 12 min and let cool while making next layer.
3. Make cream cheese layer by beating cream cheese till soft and fluffy, appx 2 min. Add sugar and combine. Fold in cool whip. Place layer on top of cooled pretzels and smooth out evenly. Place in fridge for 1 hr.
4. Make jello once cream cheese layer is in the fridge by combining the instant jello and 2 cups of boiling water in a medium bowl. Do not follow package instructions. Stir till dissolved and let sit at room temperature for appx 1 Hr.
5. While layers are cooling slice strawberries.
6. Remove cream cheese layer from fridge and layer sliced strawberries evenly on top. Pour cooled jello mixture over strawberries. Place in fridge for 4 hours or overnight to set.
7. Cut, add whip cream on top and enjoy!
