Ingredients:
4 cups of fresh cranberries
2 cups of granulated sugar
1 cup of water
Zest and juice from 1 orange
Zest and juice from 1 lemon
1 teaspoon of cinnamon powder
1/2 teaspoon of ground ginger
1/4 teaspoon of ground cloves
1/4 teaspoon of ground nutmeg
Directions:
Clean the cranberries well, removing any stems or unwanted parts.
In a large saucepan, mix the cranberries, sugar, water, and the zest and juice of both the orange and lemon.
Heat the mixture over medium-high heat, stirring often, until it reaches a boil.
Once boiling, lower the heat to medium-low and let the jam simmer for about 15-20 minutes, or until the cranberries pop open and the jam starts to thicken.
Add the cinnamon, ginger, cloves, and nutmeg, and simmer for 5 more minutes, stirring from time to time.
Take the saucepan off the heat and allow the jam to cool to room temperature.
Pour the cooled Christmas jam into sterilized jars and seal them tightly.
Store the jam in the fridge for up to two weeks, or freeze for longer storage.
Preparation Time: 5 minutes
Cooking Duration: 25 minutes
Total Time: 30 minutes
Yields: Roughly 3 cups of jam
