Base:
2 cups flour
1/2 tsp baking powder
1 tsp salt
3/4 cup soft butter
1 cup white sugar
Caramel:
1 cup brown sugar
1 cup butter
4 tbsp whipping cream
1 tsp vanilla
1/2 tsp salt
1 1/2 cups pecan pieces
Topping:
1 1/2 cups chocolate chips
Mix dry ingredients and set aside. Cream together butter and sugar, add dry mix (it will be crumbly). Press into 9x13 pan. Bake at 350 oven for 13 minutes.
Add all caramel ingredients into a saucepan and melt over medium heat. Bring to a boil and let bubble for one minute. Stir in pecans. Pour caramel mix over baked crust. Bake in oven for 23 minutes at 350. Let cool for 5 to 10 minutes and sprinkle with chocolate chips, spreading them out as they melt.
