Ingredients:
Servings: 4-6 Servings
Units: US | Metric
4 cups corkscrew macaroni
10 ounces fresh asparagus
8 ounces cooked ham, cut in thin strips
(can substitute chicken)(see note)
1 (8 ounce) container soft-style cream cheese with chives
1/3 cup milk
Directions:
1 Cook pasta according to directions.
2 Add asparagus and ham or chicken to the pasta during the last 5 minutes of cooking.
3 Drain; return to pan.
4 In a 2 cup measurer; stir cream cheese into milk.
5 Add mixture to pasta and stir gently over medium heat until heated through.
Wendy's Note: I am going to try this using subbing shrimp for the ham or chicken, and adding mushrooms. Served over linguini.
