I have had 2 of the GGsons a few days (Mom took off 1 week and the Monday holiday)(while their "Grandmère" went to Italy with her sisters and their hubbies)-(hers chose not to go prior to an emergency colon surgery). They go to Day Care on Tuesdays. They are 5 and almost 3 and sure wear me out. I am ready to drop by the time Mom comes to pick them up. That is exactly why you need to be young to have kids!! LOL I have a little topless "house" under the pine trees (the boys calls it a "fort" in the woods) and to the girls it is a "house". It is 4 4x4 panels that has a door opening, big holes to crawl through, ladder-like holes to climb and a bench (with a window opening) along one side about 2 feet off the ground. The 2 boys are allowed to climb in the trees and play with sticks while I sit on my porch. I have 12 ggkids (9 boys and 3 girls) ranging in age almost 11 to almost 1.
If it would quit raining I might get my garden worked. I have 2 (l small garden out the back door and a larger garden behind the garage). I have zucchini (5 different kinds), cukes (5 different kinds), onions, 9 tomato plants, 2 rows of okra and 2 rows of green beans in the one behind the garage (which I got hoed/cultivated - (manual cultivator - push power) before the rain except for the okra and green beans). The little garden I had done some hoeing (not all) in it a few days prior to the rain. I have 3 short rows of corn, lettuce, endive, onions, radishes, Bell peppers, a hill each of Horn of Plenty squash(yellow), Round zucchini and Straight 8 cucumber and some kale. Have one row left that I plan on adding butternut squash and the sweet potato starts that I started from store bought sweet potatoes in water (that means I need a ridge about 6 feet long for 6 to 8 starts).
Did I make you tired?? I AM!! :-)
