1 pound butter -- softened
3 cups sugar
6 egg
4 cups all-purpose flour
3/4 cup milk
1 teaspoon almond extract
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Preheat oven to 300 degrees.
Cream the butter; gradually add the sugar. Beat well. Add the eggs, one at a time, beating after each. Add the flour to the creamed mixture, alternating with milk. Begin and end with flour. Do not overmix. Add the flavorings.
Pour batter into a greased and floured 10" tube pan. Bake for 1 1/2 hours or until slightly firm to the touch. Cool in pan for 10 minutes.
