this year's birthday party was quite an unexpected treat for all of those who were able to attend. it was great seeing all of you who do not come out too often as well as our regulars. socializing and 'catching up' was the focus of the evening. hopefully this is the beginning of a new trend.
as for a new beginning, there is now the new tradition of passing on the 'president's addition' of "hill echoes."
i'd like to give a special thanks to ellen earl and deb defelice for putting the evening together and to everyone else who set up tables and chairs and worked on the clean up detail. you are too numerous to list but we know who you are. another thanks goes out to charles and ginny nicholas who helped transport erling. and of course, tage not only provided entertainment but procurred the pins that were distributed.
all of this goes to show that as usual, wasc members come through. the spirit we held last night reflects how strong our club is. not only do we have it, but it was felt by the newcomers present last night.
again, thanks for keeping wasc alive and well.
