I am not familiar with the trophies currently given out at the state race, but the original Bamberger Trophy was donated in 1940 by Bamberger's department store to promote ski racing in New Jersey. At that time, the award was a figurine mounted to a base. After winning three consecutive championships, a cup was added and the trophy was permanently awarded to the Watchung Amateur Ski Club in 1948. This trophy is appx. 24" high.
