It was an amazing experience being at Devon the past few days to watch our pony Eros compete in the Small Pony Hunters.
Eros has been showing with RabbitHill, and trainer Abbi Ferrigno and pony rider Cailah Carrol for the past season and this was incredibly exciting for him to qualify and receive the 2nd highest score in the stakes class. The pair placed 6th in the Model and then had the 2nd highest score overall in the Small Pony Hunter Stakes to be finish in 2nd place (VERY EXCITING) and then Cailah went on to WIN the Pony Hunt Teams Class with a beautiful trip that included her team mates Kristin Lutz on Knock on Wood and Chloe Reid with Blue on Blue...as PeterPan, Tinkerbelle and Captain Hook! OF COURSE Maddie also enjoyed a little time in the tack and competed in the leadline 3 and under class (there were 42 entires showing in the "famous" Dixon Oval) It was very exciting to lead her in the class. She loved every second of it and her Devon Ribbon is beautiful. This was very fun and memorable and I will get some pictures up on the website as soon as possible. It was also very special to have Tory come and be a part of it. I appreciate all of her "navigational" and "child entertaining" help! I hope she gets the chance to show there one day, there are so many great Hunter and Jumper divisions offered. I am sure she will! ~June
