The Gelding I am working with is five years old. Seems to know what a bit is, lunges and doesn't mind pressure on his back or to have a surcingle on. He is about 12-12.2hh We are showing him in halter and is fantastic as far as that goes. He cam from an auction a few years ago and now that I have been working with him it seems that someone had spent a lot of time with him. I wish I were smaller so I could hop on him to see what he knows. It seems that he may have been abused because he gets nervouse and is hard to catch but is getting better. We will be showing in at Journey's Haven this month and hop to make it to the SSHC show in June. Maybe I will try and convince his owner to bring him to your place for a training session so we can see what he knows. How much would you charge for something like that?
: How old is he/she and how big? I may
: have some old tack around that I
: would sell inexpensively if that
: helps. As for training him thats
: sort of a "loaded
: question"...I would really need
: to see him to determine what he
: knows and doesnt know and his
: attitude to know how best to
: approach working with him...

: Hi June, I am wondering if you may
: know of anyone who would be willing
: to hop on a pony I have been working
: with. His owner is unsure if he
: rides and we are both to big to sit
: on him. She isn't looking to pay
: someone right now, just looking for
: a brave kid or sm. adult who could
: hop on him. Also do you have any
: pointers for training a pony to
: ride. I trained my horse but I am
: finding it hard to find equipment
: small enough for the ponies I am
: working with.

: Thank You - Leeanne
