Cause
One or more of the following faults regarding the accelerator pedal (B37) may be stored – P213800, P022664, P213862, P212714
These engine faults may cause faults in collision prevention assist and electric parking brake control unit.
Action
Check the contact pins of the accelerator pedal plug connector (B37) for possible widening or damage.
Make sure that testing is performed using the correct tool, to avoid pin damage.
If damage or widening is found, disconnect the engine control unit plug connector F and M and reconnect once.
Road test the vehicle, If the fault returns, then replace the pins for the (B37) pedal sensor connectors at the engine ECU connector end, and the pins at the B37 throttle pedal sensor end.
Note: The wiring loom pins are now modified by Mercedes and have changed to a different make and size.
Hi Nicola,As Steve Harrison says, excellent piece of Tech Info. Any more you have would be great for us all.
Do you know if this fault is effecting Mercedes Sprinter 2013 on Euro 6 651.955 models as we have 4 of them with some of those codes and symptoms.
Are the modified terminals ecu end or pedal end. And would you have the current part number as the dealer will only go by reg.no. and may not show as being modified for this model.
