Had one of these in today with failed power steering, due to financial restraints customer asked if I would attempt a repair, rather than replacement of steering column.

Following Simon Forseys excellent instructions, here EPS repair the job turned out to be very easy.

Here is the motor removed from the column, (3 torx bolts accessable from the fusebox area)

The 6 wires at the bottom have to be unsoldered, remove the 4 torx screws and remove the circuit board and turn over.

The dry soldered joints could be easily seen (left side of picture). A simple re-soldering repair and reassembly followed, and all was well.

The hardest part of the job was reattaching the 6 wires, as they are particularly 'hairy', and the contacts are quite small.
