Posted by Chris Sorry about the length of time I took to post this message about the supposed"Kings Of Metal" (stop your snickering now...I've stopped mine) and their bullshit at the Metal Meltdown in April. First of all...this part isn't directly about them in particular...this is about their ####ing fans. The bunch of lunkheads who sat through bands like Steel Attack,Rob Rock (who I missed....heard he was awesome),Artch,and even Nuclear Assault chanting "Man...O...War" over and over. Alright...not a big deal...but when their fans started telling bands to "get off the stage" and "you ####ing suck,bring on Manowar" I was appauled. I wasn't shocked...because like I said,Manowar fans share the level of intelligence of the band members themselves (alright...a cheap dig at the band...so what!). I mean,these are people who actually call them "The Kings of Metal" for ####s sake. Secondly...time! The bands that played right before Manowar had their times cut down (Artch got a few songs cut...Nuclear Assault had,what seemed like half of their set,cut for Manowar)...but if this was because of the band or not,I'm not sure. All I remember seeing was a stagecrew guy come out to John Connely from N.A. and tell him something. Connely then seemed to put his head in his right hand and shake his head...then he told Dan Lilker who didn't seem too affected by the news. I'll admit it...I'm not a huge ARTCH fan,but I was enjoying their stuff...but N.A. getting cut like that was SEVERLEY ####ED UP! And for what? TO SET UP THEIR ####ING STAGE GEAR. ####ING SHIT...I HATE PRIMA-DONNAS! Third...they kicked everyone out of the photography pit and from behind back stage. Anthony,Shannon,and I met outside of the stage in the vendor area and began talking about this shit. It was then that the three of us decided to leave the venue all together. Actually,I left before they did...and ran into Tony Liddel from the almighty Blitzkrieg outside and he told me that he was kicked out of the backstage area and never got an explanation as to why he was kicked out. Tony had been there almost all weekend when he wasn't being the cool guy he was signing things and taking photos with fans and shit like that. I have nothing against Manowar fans in general...if you enjoy their music,more power to you...but the fact is that those assholes who attended the event gave you ALL a ####ing huge black eye...and if I saw some dickhead walking around the NY/NJ/PA area of the United States wearing a Manowar shirt,I would kick the shit out of him for making you all seem like thick-headed assholes who care ONLY about Manowar. That's just what I would do... I still have a Manowar t-shirt for sale. It's kind of beaten up...(worn print...not holes and shit) and considering that I have gotten rid of all of my Manowar stuff (which I had,but only listened to "Into Glory Ride" on occassion)...I was wondering if anyone wants it. I'll gladly get rid of it for anything (trade,U.S. cash...doesn't matter to me...I want it gone from my wardrobe) you might want to give me for it. #### MANOWAR...#### THEM UP THEIR STUPID ASSES! DON'T BUY IT...just look at it in the record store,laugh at it,and laugh harder at the brainded ####wad who would spend fifteen bucks for more supposed music from the gods of cheesy bullshit metal (no,MANOWAR are the cheesiest metal band of all time,despite what HAMMERFALL,PEGAZUS,and many other sword and sorcery bands might claim.)
