I'm one of the new guys, but is an off the back dump when the lifter squats down, breaks parallel or is right there, and then cannot lift the weight up so they basically "push it off their back", and quickly step out and away from the barbell? OR is it when they just can't squat it up, so they are stuck down in the hole, so then the spotters assist getting the barbell AND the lifter up to the rack position, this whole time the lifter is still under the barbell.
I just wanted to completely understand the situation, because I agree with DQ a lifter IF they are pushing the weight off, stepping out and away, leaving the entire barbell to be caught by the spotters. But what if it is their 3rd attempt, first 2 were very successful, and they just could'nt get out of the hole? Should it still be a DQ? But hey, rules are rules and I'll go with the rules.
By the way, I was there saturday with my 5 year old son (could'nt get a baby sitter). Man it was crowded! We had to leave after 30minutes. Has something this big ever done at high school gym where theres room for the lifters and guests?
