I wouldn't claim to be a regular at the club probably watching about 50% to 70% of home games. I do not therefore feel qualified to talk about the management and overall running of ATFC. However I do still follow the clubs results at all levels and all the locals at the club know who I am.
I enjoy coming to the club and watching a decent game of football.
I never cease to be amazed at this 'forum' and the endless stream of negative responses as soon as the club gets a bad result.
Lets put this in perspective, the club are in the top half of the table, if they win their games in hand they will be in the top 6. The top 3 are Bury, Hitchin & Slough much larger towns. The games I have seen, whilst its not like watching the best team in the country (Chelsea for those of you who don't know who I support ) it has been a big step up from some of the dross I saw last season. This was reflected in our league position last season just above relegation zone and 11 wins and 40 league goals(we have already won 8 this season)! Every team has bad days when it just doesn't gel, even Chelsea !!
I would put money on most of the negatives being
1.Disaffected players or their fathers still unhappy that their sons were pushed out as they were simply not good enough or
2.Supporters of other clubs who enjoy the wind up and seeing all the negative comments they can generate (how they must laugh when supporters rise to the bait EVERY time !).
Those that make the initial comments have probably not even seen the side play !
Why does everyone use an alias, am I missing something, ......its because they haven't got the BOTTLE or GUTS to admit who they are, give me another good reason !! These are the people who will talk behind your back but would not dare to say anything to your face.
The club should require all contributers to the forum to register before they leave a comment, go on Hitchins forum and try and leave a comment, you can't !
Anyway, off my soap box,I don't usually feel the need to make a comment ! good luck to all blues teams for the remainder of the season....
