Valid point Jay I agree, and I empathise with the position completely. I just dont want the club to go down the same road as ourselves at Guisborough Town. The infighting nearly destroyed our club and as I explained the only ones to benefit were our rivals. Morale was rockbottom and our closest rivals donated a whole page in their programme to make 'sick' jokes about the club, the town,and its people.I have a lot of respect for Arlesey town fc and whenever I have come down to watch have always been made to feel welcome in the club. Its a smart little ground and a credit for all the work that goes into keeping it looking presentable. A lot of this goes on behind the scenes by volunteers/committee staff in an often unrewarded way.As an 'outsider' I can speak with a degree of objectivity which can be useful and helpful when trying to look at the bigger picture from another perspective.My interest is nostalgic also remembering the village when the indian restaurant was a pub and the old ground was overlooked by another pub, the prince of wales, I think it was called. Correct me if I am wrong I am going back 30 years.I hope this planned discussion next week goes some way to sorting contentious issues out and you can then all move on for the progress of the club.Sorry if I am rambling I am still shell shocked at 'Boro being relegated and the 'deckchairs' surviving, the only thing that eased the pain was dragging the 'barcodes' down with us!!
