I am a regular reader and occasional contributor to this forum. I used to watch Arlesey 30 years ago at the old lamb meadow ground when I lived in the village and make the occasional visit from my native north east to see old friends and watch the team. I wish you success as the new chairman. I have recently commented on the infighting that is going on at the club on the forum and this saddens me. This is something that will damage the club if not resolved and I speak from experience. My local team Guisborough Town from the northern league experienced the same cynical, negative behaviour on our own supporters forum. This only served to undermine the club morale and our rivals laughed over their pints at our puerile antics. We were only punishing ourselves. We realised the mistakes we were making, got our act together, and learned from this and moved on. We are now stronger and more focused on what is best for the club. Supporters and management are more united which now angers our main rivals no doubt. I have always admired the professional set up at Arlesey for a relatively small village/town.I look forward to coming down again to watch the team and have a few drinks with my old mates in the comfort of the clubhouse.Up the Arlesey! and lets hope next season is a better one than last for you all and the 'Boro get back to the premier league where we belong at the first attempt!!
