How long do the committee think a new manager would stay in the job. Arlesey supporters are very good at making someone unwelcome. How long did Terry Back last after the supporters showed their dissatisfaction? Do the committee think a new manager would be more thick skinned than Terry Back? Most unlikely. So we would then be faced with another new manager and all the resultant upheaval. Will that be good for the club? Of course it won't.
Why take a chance?
I think the proposed new man will already be having second thoughts about the job. Will he be happy knowing he's not the supporters choice? Of course he wont! Will he really want all the hassle? Of course he won't. Is he going to make a success of the job with all the criticism he will have to face right from the outset? Of course he's not.
