I am glad to hear the Secretary say that any decision should be good for the club. ATFC is a members' club and the committee are there to represent the members. Therefore the wishes of the members are paramount. That is for the good of the club. If the members want Matty to stay on, that is the end of the matter!
Were the selection committee made up of duly elected or co-opted members and is their appointment to this sub-committee duly minuted at a full committee meeting prior to the sub-committees meeting. Can the minutes of this meeting be shown to representatives of the supporters to prove that the sub-committee was appointed before their selection meeting and within the constitution and rules of the club. If the appointment was not previously minuted, then any decision made by the sub-committee is unconstitutional and must be declared null and void.
This is a serious matter and it must be proved that the club rules were adhered to.
