Like you say you see what I mean and the point is that The 'mental hospital' was commonly said ( whether it was or not ) to be in Arlesey and was called Arlesey hospital or three counties but never Stotfold hospital. But it's a different story now it's a new housing estate.
The location actually sits on the Arlesey /Stotfold border so I suppose you could swing it either way.
Arlesey has had the dump, endless prison waggons and car trailers. Stotfold has had the Health Centre, Supermarket, bank and soon the new football leisure centre ( paid for by some of the proceeds from Fairfield ).
Has been that way for a long while, can't see that changing either.
