I have just written my autobiography,"Sticks and Stones" which looks at my 30 year career in nursing, and the ways I have tried to address the stigma of mental illness. I have mentioned the 6 happy years I spent at the old hospital (1979 to 1985)and I still retain many fond memories of fairfield and arlesey.I made many friends there. For those who are interested the book is available only in E Book format at present priced £5 through(chipmunkapublishers.com) It will eventually became a paperback. Most of the profits will go to the publishers chipmunka who specialise in mental health materials, and tackling the stigma and discrimination that surrounds mental illness.
