I am really pleased to see Arlesey recovering from that disastrous period when Terry Back was with you.
I have seen quite a few of your matches this season although I'm not really local to Arlesey. I've noted one or two coments on this message board regarding the return of some of the older ex-players. Your present manager took over at an awkward time and did well to get a few of his old friends in to help out. No one of intelligence would have expected him to sign a whole new, top class team. At the stage of the season he took over most players were settled with their clubs, perhaps thinking about promotion or fighting off relegation. Your manager has done exceptionally well and is certainly very popular with the players I have spoken to. You have several good players and they say they will happily sign on for Arlesey next season if Matt Corbould is in charge. If you recall your situation last season, Darran Hay inherited a team and ended up mid-table. Matt Corbould took over after a long run of defeats, lost most of the team, and will still finish in a mid-table position. Darran Hay then had the opportunity to build his own squad, which he did successfully. Matt Corbould deserves the same chance after all the work he has put in. I hope to come and watch ATFC a few times next season when I am in the area.
