Quick answer for you Turkish, which I am sure with your conections you could check over dinner tonight is.
As the Chairman's post has become avaliable between AGM's there are two options, because you are right he is elected by the members.
1) The Committee adopt him as Chairman until the next AGM where he is formally elected for 3 years before he is up for re election - which has happened before.
2) or we call for a special EGM where is is put to the members and elected.
Given recent attendance at AGM's which is never more than 20 and the stray dog - I would go for option 2, but this will be ratified at our meeting on Monday 12th November 2007.
From a football point of view he is keen to get into Ryman Premier ASAP I think you will get on well with him.
