I recently became a member, I have been trying to find out more information on what I believe is some sort of serving platter and a teapot. From the research I have done so far I know that they are from the "Belzoni" series made by Enoch Wood & Sons. I am curious as to how rare they are, I haven't been able to find any images of them online or in the database. If anyone has seen them before or knows if they are commonly found pieces, any information would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for the help this is my first time researching transferware.
Hi Logan. It seems both of the patterns you have for the Belzoni series are in the database. The pattern on the covered dish is shown on a plate in Belzoni #02, pattern #3098, and the design on your teapot is the same as in Belzoni #03, pattern #3563. I'm a little mystified by the teapot though. The lid has the Belzoni border but the teapot has completely different floral prints, so that I would think it was a mismatched piece except that it does have that Belzoni #03 pattern. I couldn't tell you how rare these patterns are, though as they were among the earliest patterns recorded for the series that would seem to indicate they're readily available. Both beautiful pieces, you're fortunate to have them.
