Sorry ignore previous thread. I'm trying to identify the maker and date this piece. There is an impressed mark of a leaf, and the CT within the garter motif would I assume be in reference to Carl Theodore from the Frankenthal factory. Within the garter is the name of the pattern Orange Blossom. Outside the garter to the right is an O. Its a green transferware large shallow bowl.
Post 1 - Orange Blossom Pattern Found in a NZ context that relates from mid to late 1800's I am trying to identify the pattern, date and maker of a bowl identified as Orange Blossom Pattern with the Initials C T in the centre of a Garter, the monogram might relate to Carl Theodore of the Frankenthal Factory, but a reuse of his initials would be fairly rare but examples exist where for instance the Derby Factory was engaged in reproducing a piece from the Frankenthal Factory. An impressed stamp of a leaf is just visible at the top of the garter Any help gratefully received. Post 2 - Copenhagen and ???King Patterns Found in a NZ context that relates from mid to late 1800's I am trying to identify the patterns, dates and makers of two pieces of ceramic, the first is a Copenhagen Pattern from a Staffordshire pottery, of B & Co. possibly Bodley and Co. from Burslem The second is rather more vague with a green transfer ware garter and the word KING, it looks as if something else was written before but I can't identify a pattern with a suitably short name, I'm assuming that they were unregistered patterns judging by the lack of registration marks. Any assistance would be great.
