Sat. Mar. 17th 7PM I have a Florentine China plattern with the Maryland pattern. It is green transferware with a scene with buildings on each side of a river and some people standing next to the river. I was wondering whether this scene is of a specific place or whether they just made up scenes. Thanks for your help. I will post my ppicture with the webmaster since I couldn't get picassa working
The Maryland pattern is one of about 10 different patterns in the Florentine China series by Samuel Alcock. None of the views is a specific location. We have three different views in the database in colors blue, brown and purple. Since you have a green pattern, it might be a different view.
