I have a platter that is 17" X 14" and is of a very similar pattern to the one shown on your home page - third down on the left side. Mine has 8 reserves, with 4 garden scenes with pavilions. It green in the center with a gothic church on a lake. The boarder is purple. On the back it say's "Festoon Border E. Wood & Sons". Can anyone date the piece or provide more info. I consider the condition excellent with no cracks, chips or repairs. Two very small chips on the back. Crazing is minimal and on the back only.
Karen, There are 8 different pattern versions of Festoon Border recorded in the TCC Pattern & Source Print Database. There were likely more. While the center patterns vary in each, the pattern was named for the border. One and two-color combinations are known. The actual dates of production are not known, so you may simply wish to consider the dates that Woods was in busines, 1818 - 1846 as the date range for your platter. It's nice that you have an example that is marked!
