E & G Phillips Pattern and Sourceprint. Posted by Debra Vessels on August 19, 2010, 8:44 pm I thought all of you might find this interesting. As a very enthusiastic Phillips collector (beginner) I discovered this source print while searching for a copy of a different Phillips source print. In the TCC Bulletin 11 article by Louise Richardson there is a picture of a cup & saucer of what she describes in detail as three children with bird in cage. I call it "Birdcage" just to simplify it. I am probably not the first to discover this, I was thrilled to make the connection. I would love to communicate with other E & G Phillips collectors as I am putting together a record of their patterns with pictures for myself. Particularly the different views of the many series, Park Scenery, Verona etc.

We currently have 11 E&G Phillips patterns (although not the lovely pattern you have posted). Interesting that only two are the dark blue like yours. We also have patterns attributed to other Phillips.

There are several more dark blue patterns listed in Gillian Neales books. I have all the information I could find on the database,which is a lot, and the pictures are wonderful. And with the article by Louise Richardson, and all of the information in a dozen or more Transferware books I have quite a list of patterns by Phillips. I am well inspired to search for more pictures (color photos) of the patterns not pictured in the database, or found on Ebay. Of course I will be sharing with the data base any more information I find.

I am interested in both.
