Elsmore and Forster Puzzle Jug Posted by Douglas Baker on July 1, 2009, 9:35 am 69.207.192.119 I know a bit about the piece I have, but I have never seen these specific transfers under the spout anywhere before. Normally I see either exotic animals, some flora... or most commonly the "cockerel fight to the death" transfers. Mine however has two curious pictures. The top scene is of two smaller men on either side of a much taller man who appears to be smoking a cigar; and the bottom scene is a small man in a red coat that appears to be "kicking" a large hooded reaper(?) that is holding a chain. I have pictures if it is helpful. But my question is what exactly are these depicting? Thank you in advance for any helpful hints!  Post a Response
