problem using the database help! Posted by jessica on June 9, 2009, 4:52 am 92.7.55.24 I am really struggling with the 'choose prominent features' function; everytime I try a search term or even just a 'starts with' letter, the list appears for a split second then disappears and I get a 'Please be more specific in your search etc..’ message. This is so frustrating! is this happening for anyone else?. I think this particular feature is potentially the most useful when searching for a pattern with no name or maker to go on, but I can't use it - aagh!  Post a Response

Posted by Connie Rogers on June 9, 2009, 10:15 am, in reply to "problem using the database help!" 71.72.211.105 Hi Jessica, When you are using the Predominent Features function, you need to choose a major category and, if possible, a sub-category as well to narrow down the search. The database is not set up to search the entire 3,894 patterns for one or two search terms. I hope this helps!  Post a Response
