This c/s is the pattern "Lorraine". Petra Williams, the primary source on English Romantic period transferware pottery, ascribes this pattern to William Adams & Sons, and dates it c. 1850. There were other Adams factories operating at around this same time; you could look up the back stamp mark in a reference book and perhaps confirm the maker. Curiously, there is a c/s in this pattern, brown, currently for sale on eBay, although apparently a bit larger. The seller calls it a "joke" cup due to its size. I think not. We welcome your posting; in the future I suggest you place it as a new enquiry rather than attaching to another, as most people don't look this far down in the previous postings; and also include photos.
