Small spode teapot Posted by lenagless on January 19, 2009, 7:41 pm Message modified by board administrator January 21, 2009, 9:40 am I have a 4.5" spode teapot in a Imari style. Mark is not one in the database. Transfer is in a dark color and is heavily covered with color and gold. What is it?  Post a Response

However, it is a tasty piece, dating to about 1812. The pattern number 1710 does not appear to have had a name or turn up that often. A piece to enjoy. Regards Andrew  Post a Response

Spode did not give pattern numbers to transfer prints as a rule. The copper plate served as a record for the pattern. This is a hand painted imari pattern on bone china. The pattern number indicates a date of 1811.  Post a Response

The hand painting is the major part of the design and piece, which is why it does not fall within the area of interest of this website. You could always join the Spode Society?
