Dear Beverly:
I don’t think there should be any problem storing ceramics in cold dry conditions – but my experience is in England (fairly temperate winters). If you tell me where your museum is located or the conditions over the winter I will double check with Winterthur’s eminent conservation staff and get back to you with more precise advice. Thanks for asking – perhaps this kind of information will be useful to other members.
