Hi Judie and David It is an Ivy vase, which date from the 1950s up to when Maling closed in 1963. It is found most often in Pheasant (as in Asiatic Pheasants) pattern and Corinth - as here. Maling also made them for the US importers S&S Agencies, which sold under the Crownford China and Royal Crownford trade names, so they are probably more likely to be found over there than here now. Why Ivy? Well you put your small potted ivy plant in and the tendrils hang decoratively down the sides. Regards Andrew
