I own 4 different child's plates/saucers by Enoch Wood and Sons with the wreath type multi colored and enameled rims (Thanks, Judie!).
Looking at the central scenes, in every case, that central scene is NOT glossy. They are matte. Also, the fragments of the central scenes of those patterns from the 2 items from the archaeological stuff I've been working on is damaged unlike any of the "regular" tissue underglazed ceramics from that site. For instance the archaeological sherd of Turkey is scratched on the image.
Is it possible these children's pieces central scenes are bat printed?
